Product Description

This MAIN Stud Kit includes 14 studs, 14 hardened parallel ground washers, 14 twelve-point nuts, ARP torque lube, and an instruction sheet.  

Fits: Toyota 3.0L 2JZGE and 2JZGTE 1993-1998 Toyota Supra

 
ARP studs are 8740 chrome moly steel, heat-treated to 200,000 PSI tensile strength, and precision J-form thread-rolled after heat-treat resulting in a fastener that has threads 2000% stronger than others.

ARP main studs eliminate main cap walk, as well as protect the threads of the block. ARP recommends to use main studs over main bolts whenever possible. Studs provide a more accurate torque reading because they don't twist in the block as they are torqued down. All clamping forces are on one axis. There is also less force exerted on the block threads which improves the engine block's life, especially on aluminum blocks. Finally, studs allow for proper alignment of the main caps and easier engine assembly.
